  • With a heavy focus on dry flavors, Jack Daniel’s 12 Year Batch 3 seems like the odd man out from the brand's aged whiskey collection this year.

  • Nose:

Deep and full of flavor. Cherry, cinnamon rolls, dark chocolate, cookie butter, bananas foster, mocha and taffy

  • Taste:

Great viscosity on the palate, which is oaky and lovely. Cornbread, praline, cherry syrup, plenty of oak, caramel-drizzled brownies, espresso grounds, nougat, cinnamon, clove, tobacco and mint chip ice cream.

  • Finish:

Oak and char lead the finish, followed by dark chocolate, crème brûlée, peanut brittle, pepper, cinnamon, blackberry jam and stewed cherries

  • Overall:

A beautiful, layered expression that's really well balanced and jam-packed with flavor. The amount of oak is just right.

  • Score:

    93
