  • A bold labeling redesign is perhaps a misleading change for Rendezvous Rye - the bold, angular artwork is a bit of a stray from the soft, well rounded, greatly balanced new profile of the whiskey, but it looks nice enough. Overall, Rendezvous Rye new shift in profile will be a change for long time fans of the brand, but it's well executed.

  • Nose:

Complex, a great blend of rising bread, honey, caramel, caraway, orange rind, clove and spearmint. Less spice forward for this bottling, more holistic and interesting.

  • Taste:

Thin on the palate, but no ethanol presence. Sweet and interesting, though not as complex as the nose. Fresh bread, honey, toffee and some apple linger nicely with clove, baking spice and a hint of black pepper.

  • Finish:

Medium finish, pleasant enough though not particularly bold. Rendezvous new profile definitely leans towards a more docile, yet well rounded, finish.
