  • Overall, this whiskey shines and burns bright - both literally and figuratively. Spicy, spirit forward and packed with sherry character this dram represents the spritely presence of a high proof, middling age, sherried pour. For fans of heavy sherry influence that doesn't immediately lean sweet and syrupy, this is a winner.

  • Nose:

Rich gingerbread, honey, rising bread, sweet buttercream, cherry cordial spicy pepper and a light, nutty character. Lots going on here, with plenty of oak, spices and sweet sherry contributing.

  • Taste:

Sweet on the palate, a touch spicy, but loaded with character. A bit of ethanol; candied ginger, honey, butter cream, lightly nutty and full of praline notes, brown sugar, tobacco and syrupy cherries.

  • Finish:

Spicy on the finish, loaded with pepper, baking spice, ginger, clove, ethanol and vanilla bean. Wild, complex, powerful, zesty!
