This is a single cask from The GlenDronach that was bottled for the state of New Hampshire. It is matured entirely in PX casks and bottled at cask strength.
18-20 years is my long proclaimed sweet spot for GlenDronach single casks. This has been one of my favorite bottles of the year and the quality has been top notch through the entire bottle.

House Review
Nose:
Rich, deep maple. Thick sherry, caramel. Its like a sweet dessert. Lots of nougat, fig, cocoa, vanilla bean.
Taste:
Thick and rich, no heat despite the proof. Sweet sherry notes like stewed fruits, fig, date, plum, cocoa. Theres some faint earthy tobacco, butterscotch and maple. Really rich and sweet.
Finish:
Long, sweet and sugary, very characteristically PX. Some drying oak and tobacco and pepper.
