Honey, candy corn, fresh baked cake, apples and pears. Really sweet, really bread-y which is surprising for GlenDronach. Reminds me a lot of a Nevis. Ethanol is nicely in check.
Thick, sweet, but a bit hot. Toffee, bread pudding, sweet caramel and some light fruit. Mostly vanilla, some clove, nice bourbon barrel character here. Heat dies down over time which is greatly appreciated.
Medium to long in duration, heat is more mild than the palate. Big sweet dessert from start to finish - if I had to enunciate what I thought bourbon barrel cake would be like, it would be this.
This is pretty nice, which sort of surprised me. I thought these stats may be problematic, but I was proven wrong. Nice work, SMWS.
