Rich honey, toffee, praline and pepper. Minerality, ashy smoke, nougat and almond. Sweet, rich and lots of dessert-y notes here.
Thick and rich. Some faint heat, but almost nothing to speak of. Sweetness is here - apples, pears, syrupy date fruit. Almonds, nougat and pepper. The heat grows a hair with time, but still behaved, even on the back palate.
Long, rich but hot. Here's that ethanol, and it's here to throw down. Pepper, lots of minerality. The ash smoke grows as well, becoming a really smoky endeavor. The sweetness is entirely engulfed.
The nose and palate on this is sublime, though the finish sort of goes off the rails. This is a bit unbalanced, but it screams Campbeltown with every breath it has. With that finish ironed out a hair, this could be epic.
