I’d still recommend you try a taste if you find it in your local bourbon bar, but don’t feel bad if you weren’t able to pick up a bottle for your personal collection.
RYE! It dominates the finish, but as the tempo slows notes of caramel, oak, citrus and some dark fruit come out. This long, slightly dry, finish slowly fades to oak and remains a pleasant dance partner the entire time.
Balanced notes of honeyed vanilla, soft caramel, a basket of complex orchard fruit, blackberry, papaya, and a dusting of cocoa and nutmeg; smooth finish. Sophisticated, stylish, with well-defined flavors. A classic!
Rich and creamy with red apples, berries, vanilla and orange peel on the mid palate, finishing with cinnamon, clove and allspice finishing it out with just a slight whiff of tobacco.

House Review
Nose:
Sweet caramel, honey and vanilla. Raspberries, syrupy butterscotch, berries, oak and pepper.
Taste:
Rich pepper, lots of nice oak, tobacco. Faintly bitter, but that quickly fades to vanilla, caramel and a deep earthy tobacco.
Finish:
Long with some heat, but it is mild. Rich pepper, caramel, toffee, vanilla and faint tobacco.
Overall:
Great, and a departure from a lot of the floral characteristics I get from more Four Roses releases. Really enjoyable and I'm not surprised given the constituents - some of my favorite 4R recipes (OBSK and OESK are in my top 3 4R recipes).
