Fettercairn 24 Year Old is one of five Fettercairn expressions that debuted in the U.S. in May 2025, alongside 28-, 40-, 46- and 50-year-old expressions. Fettercairn was founded in 1824, so finally arriving in the U.S. in 2025 is a pretty big deal. This single malt scotch whisky is aged for 24 years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels with no chill filtering or added coloring and bottled at 46.5% ABV. It has a suggested retail price of $650 per 700-milliliter bottle. Just 500 bottles were released in the U.S.

Fettercairn 24 Year Old is earthy and fairly light on the nose, with notes of rosemary, sage, basil, tobacco, ash and straw. Underneath the earthy tones lies some soft, oaky vanilla, sourdough, melted butter and a light nuttiness.
The palate is buttery and earthy, following the nose's lead. This is a really lovely expression, with light vanilla joined by tobacco, leather, tannin, orange pith, mango and orchard fruit.
The finish is soft and smooth, with a big hit of cereal grains, as well as peppercorns, banana cream, basil, chopped walnuts, apple and vanilla.
Fettercairn 24 Year Old is a tremendous, well-balanced oily, buttery whisky that's at times earthy, at times fruity, at times heavy on cereal grains, but always satisfying and delicious.
