Doc Swinson's Bottled in Bond Straight Rye is produced at MGP and made from 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Aged a minimum of seven years, it meets the Bottled-in-Bond Act's standards, ensuring it comes from a single distilling season and distillery and is bottled at 100 proof.
This is easily the most complex of the lineup as well as the most harmonious. Like several other Doc Swinson's that I tasted together, this was subtle on the nose but built in complexity with time and on the palate. I love the warming spice notes, but particularly enjoyed the more intriguing aromas that made this more than just another amped up MGP. It's certainly worth your time and consideration.
