  • This is a smooth, comforting mixer for coffee, although the assertive marzipan might overshadow more delicate dessert pairings.

  • Personally, I think it is a great ready-use product especially for bars or if you intend to get through a bottle in the 6-month window. Otherwise, you might want to just buy a bottle of their amaretto and some heavy cream as you need it and mix your own in smaller batches so as not to commit to an entire bottle of just the Velvet and use the rest of the amaretto for other drinks.

  • It’s a simple little beverage, but to be honest, I like this stuff way more than I ever expected I would.

  • Nose:

    Tons of prominent almond extract.

  • Taste:

Huge almond presence continues on the palate, joined by cherry candies, some subtle anise and other classic amaro notes, plus a creamy chocolate pudding flavor. It's sweet, creamy and tasty.

  • Finish:

More almond extract, plus meringue and vanilla

  • Overall:

Delightful cream liqueur. It's sweet, nuanced and delicious. Use and enjoy it in your coffee, dessert-y cocktails and boozy milkshakes.
