Frangelico is based on a liqueur made by Christian monks in Piedmont, Italy, over 300 years ago. The name comes from Fra' Angelico, a hermit monk believed to have lived in the region. It is made using toasted wild hazelnuts, cocoa, vanilla, berries and natural extracts.
