Crown Royal Limited Edition Canadian Whisky is produced at the Crown Royal Distillery in Gimli, Manitoba, and owned by Diageo. It is blended from a select group of batch-distilled, extra-aged whiskies to offer more body and complexity than the flagship Crown Royal Deluxe. The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV and is exclusively available in Canada, with an average retail price of around $30.
The initial taste of the whisky brings a touch of sweet and sour fruit forward alongside the typical punky corn flavour which I always notice in Crown Royal. I also notice a light but firm impression of pot still rye within the whisky which surprised and delighted me.
