It has plenty of spice and balancing sweetness to give it the kind of kick you look for in a rye but smoothes out into a something you want to drink over and over with the sweetness.
The finish is medium to long and has a nice mint note that appears as the finish begins to fade. If you are a fan of Rye Whiskey, this is a bottle you will want on your bar!
My sample bottle was emptied well before my experience of this whiskey was, a rarity in a world where so many spirits wear their character on their sleeve.
