  • There's nothing less than praise to be given here: this Clynelish is a juggernaut of flavor, showing a nearly perfect synthesis of base melt, wine character and tannin. I'd drink it all day if I could.

  • Nose:

Grapefruit, honey, echinacea, cherry tart and a rich, waxy fruit character. Jammy, tart, sweet, malt forward and enticing. Plenty going on here, great balance of malt and barrel influence.

  • Taste:

Sweet and rich, viscous on the palate with a hefty presence. Jammy, loads of lemon, orange, grapefruit, cherry and blackberry. This cornucopia pairs nicely with a faint mineral smoky, waxy lemon curd, pepper, a touch of crushed stone and oak. A touch of toffee, honey comb and maple with a powerful pepper on the back palate. Complex, powerful, nuanced, delightful.

  • Finish:

Long finish, rich and full of character. Citrus, waxy Chenin Blanc notes, honey, pear, blackberry and cherry cordial. Lightly ashy, a touch of pepper and a long, tobacco, caramel finish.

  • Overall:

There's nothing less than praise to be given here: this Clynelish is a juggernaut of flavor, showing a nearly perfect synthesis of base melt, wine character and tannin. I'd drink it all day if I could.
