Chicas Divertidas was introduced in February 2025 by American rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion. So the story goes, Megan was inspired to launch a spirits brand at the suggestion of Beyoncé, who had released SirDavis Rye Whisky just a few months prior. Produced at Casa Centinela in Arandas, Jalisco, Chicas Divertidas (Spanish for "Funny Girls") is made using 100% Blue Weber agave harvested from the region’s red volcanic highlands. The agave is cooked in traditional masonry ovens and distilled in copper stills, before aging six months in ex-whiskey American white oak to make the brand's Reposado. Let's dive in!

A sugary, almost nostalgic vibe dominates the aroma. Reminds me of those plastic-wrapped caramel cubes you can probably still pick up at every candy store in the country. Gentler hints of lemon, orange peel and marigold flowers begin to reveal themselves after a few minutes in the glass.
Caramel takes charge once again, oozing across the palate with a bright, sticky sweetness. Flashes of milk chocolate, banana and cake batter lurk around as well, but they all serve to compliment that overriding caramel wave that this tequila was likely designed to deliver in droves.
Softens up on the finish with hints of roasted agave, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice.
Chicas Divertidas Reposado delivers a largely one-note experience — though I don't expect that'll be a bad thing for most customers grabbing it off the shelf. It's got one of the most ornate, intricately detailed bottles I've laid eyes on in a while, and of course, the backing of a much-beloved musician who knows how to top the charts year after year. If you're a Megan fan who fancies their spirits on the sweet side, this reposado will deliver exactly what you're looking for.
