Cadenhead's Enigma Blended Scotch 25 Years is a blend of undisclosed Scotch whiskies distilled in 1998 and bottled in September 2023. It was fully matured in refill sherry butts and bottled at 41.4% ABV. A total of 5,850 bottles were released, and it sells for around $120 to $150 in the US.

  • Interestingly, the palate is much darker than expected. By that, I mean that I get flavours of roasted coffee beans, dark (almost burnt) caramel and chocolate-covered raisins, as well as plums.

  • The palate opens with a fizzy, sherbet like quality, moving quickly into richer chocolate and hazelnut flavours. There’s also fudge, caramel sauce and a bit of dunnage earth appearing as it develops on your tongue.
