  • Some good complexity and change of flavor profile throughout the drink, maybe a little on the sweet/dark fruits for my preference, seems like it’d be a good winter drink or something to break out at a holiday get together.

  • Nose:

    Fruit-forward nose. Cherry danish, powdered sugar-dusted donuts, blueberry jam and pepper.

  • Taste:

    Caramel apple, nutmeg and some grassy character.

  • Finish:

    The finish kicks off with walnut and then settles into spice, with pepper and nutmeg.

  • Overall:

    An intriguing combination of finishes that ultimately falls flat atop bourbon that comes across as youthful. Overall, it's OK but not great.
