Never in history have consumers had access to such a dizzying variety of pre-mixed cocktails.

Over the past few years, industry giants have cashed in big on the ready to drink cocktails concept, originally fueled in large part by the breakout popularity of White Claw Hard Seltzer. Browsing the convenience store shelf, you can now find an avalanche of competing hard teas, tonics, bar classics, spirit-infused waters, celebrity-backed ventures and the occasional eyebrow-raising SunnyD Vodka Soda. The category is projected to reach $21.1 billion in sales by 2027, positioning it as the fastest-growing alcoholic beverage type in the world.

But what products are actually making an impression on consumers?

Going off of The Spirit Business’ recently released annual Brand Champions report, we’re rounding up the top 20 best selling RTD brands of 2023. Last year’s heavy hitters showcased an eclectic mix of both malt-based and spirits-based drinks from a roster of recognizable names. Suntory Global Spirits made a splash with a wide variety of Japan-centric offerings, Jack Daniel’s and Jose Cuervo announced their presence loud and clear and a sole celebrity-owned brand slid into the mix courtesy of actor Miles Teller.

For each entry on the list, we’ll provide a brand name, the company that owns it and how many 9-liter cases it sold in 2023. Let’s dig in:
