The NBA has announced a partnership between the Milwaukee Bucks and Junipero Gin, cementing the Hotaling & Co.-owned booze brand as the Official Spirit of both the Wisconsin basketball team and its home, the Fiserv Forum. Central to this alliance is the release of a limited-edition Junipero Gin bottle, embellished with distinctive branding elements showcasing the Bucks’ logo.

This collaboration also signifies a noteworthy step for Junipero Gin, marking its inaugural foray into professional sports marketing.

“The Bucks and Junipero Gin share a dedication to excellence and commitment to our respective crafts,” said Brian Radics, Hotaling & Co. chief marketing officer and owner, in the press release. “We’re thrilled to begin our first-ever NBA partnership with the Bucks.”

Matt Pazaras, Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer for the Bucks, also expressed excitement for the partnership, emphasizing its potential to enhance the fan experience at Fiserv Forum.

“Teaming up with Junipero Gin enhances the first-class fan experience at Fiserv Forum,” added Pazaras, per the report. “We’re looking forward to Bucks fans enjoying the new marketing initiatives from Junipero Gin.”

Further bolstering community support and engagement, Junipero Gin’s third annual Martini Week will take place in Milwaukee from May 20–26. Originally conceived as a tribute to San Francisco, the birthplace of both the martini and Junipero Gin, this event has now blossomed into a nationwide celebration. During Martini Week, participating bars and restaurants will donate $2 from every martini sold to local LGBTQIA+ organizations.

Junipero Gin, originating from California, earned the title of “Best American London Dry Gin” at the 2018 World Gin Awards. It’s been recognized as the pioneer of craft gin in the United States since its establishment in 1996, earning the moniker “The Original American Craft Gin.” Undergoing a redesign in 2020, Junipero adopted a new look with a deep teal bottle and prominent white lettering, departing from its previous clear, slender design with light purple labeling. Produced by Hotaling & Co., the importer and distiller behind renowned gin brands such as Luxardo, Nikka and Caorunn, Junipero boasts a higher-than-average 49.3% ABV. Its flavor profile includes crisp juniper, citrus peel, lemongrass and hints of warm spices.
