Budweiser is covering the first round this Fourth of July.

Beginning Monday, the iconic American beer brand is offering adults 21 and older a $6 digital gift card to put toward the purchase of a draft Budweiser through its new “Covering America’s Tab” promotion.

The giveaway is part of Budweiser’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday and is available while supplies last.

Consumers can visit Budweiser’s promotion website, submit their information and, once verified, receive a digital gift card redeemable toward a draft Budweiser at participating locations.

The campaign is designed to thank consumers who have made Budweiser part of backyard barbecues, concerts, sporting events and Fourth of July celebrations for generations.

“For years, Budweiser has shown up for the moments that bring Americans together,” Todd Allen, senior vice president of marketing for Budweiser at Anheuser-Busch, said in a statement. “Covering America’s tab is our way of turning gratitude into action.”

The free beer offer is only part of the brand’s broader patriotic campaign.

Budweiser is also continuing its partnership with Folds of Honor through its “American Beers for American Heroes” initiative. The brewer said a portion of proceeds from Budweiser sold at bars and restaurants — up to $1.5 million — will fund educational scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled U.S. military service members and first responders.

To mark both Independence Day and the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary, Budweiser has also released limited-edition patriotic packaging across its lineup.

The “Covering America’s Tab” promotion runs while gift card supplies last and is open only to consumers who are at least 21 years old.
