Knicks’ Josh Hart Shows Off Diamond-Studded Patrón Tequila Bottle After NBA Finals Win

New York City has been left reeling from a historic NBA Finals win against the San Antonio Spurs. With a championship parade scheduled to take place within a matter of days, locals are still celebrating with abandon across the streets of the Big Apple — and one particular player got a special bottle fit for the occasion.

Following the Knicks’ 94-90 win on Saturday, Josh Hart was gifted a bespoke decanter of Patrón El Alto bedazzled with a colorful homage to victory. The nearly foot-and-a-half-tall bottle was encrusted with diamonds from top to bottom and featured an image of Hart mid-throw on its front. Engraved along the side, the words “HART OF THE CITY.”

The bottle was spotted in a recent Instagram post, cameoing alongside Hart, Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Kolek in a photo taken at the Flyfish Club in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

“This has been such an incredible season and I feel so proud to have made it to this championship with this team,” Hart said in a statement. “We worked for this all year, so when it came time to celebrate, I made sure I was doing it right with Patrón. Patrón knows what it’s like to be on a journey of making something great, just like us and that’s what this year has been all about for me.”

The moment represents an incredibly lucky splash of marketing foresight for Patrón. The tequila maker first partnered with Hart earlier this year, rolling out an ad spot that — at the time — didn’t benefit from the unrivaled viewership boost of a Knicks championship win. Patrón got its foot in the door early, and the results are already speaking for themselves.

Hennessy Cognac is the official spirit of the NBA, while Maker’s Mark is an official partner of the New York Knicks. Though Maker’s Mark did release a limited-edition bourbon decked out in shades of orange and blue, neither brand has released a post-victory bottle commemorating the occasion. We’d be willing to guess that it’s only a matter of time.
