Penelope Estate Collection Private Select is an annual release of four-grain bourbon, bottled uncut and non-chill filtered at 101.2 proof. Crafted from a blend of bourbons sourced from MGP and an undisclosed Kentucky producer(s), this expression is aged for nine years. The mashbill consists of 74% corn, 20% rye, 1% wheat and 5% malted barley.

  • Nose:

    Butterscotch, oak, cinnamon, lemon curd, caramel apple, sour cherry, vanilla bean and a prickle of heat.

  • Taste:

    Oak, caramel, cocoa, honeycrisp apple, cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, watermelon candies.

  • Finish:

    That sweet watermelon candy note from the palate carries over onto the finish, joined by orange peel, cinnamon, tannin, Granny Smith apple and coconut milk.

  • Overall:

    Fruity-flavorful and well-balanced bourbon. Excellent release from Penelope.
