Castle & Key have announced that the next installment of their Restoration Rye, the first whiskey to be distilled, aged, bottled, and released by the distillery since it’s reopening, will be available in time for this summer.  Batch #3, the first of 2021, follows the success of the 2020 releases and aims to distinguish itself specifically for the warmer weather.

“Many of the barrels chosen for this offering were those that expressed higher levels of fruity and floral esters and had lower levels of wood char and baking spice. This resulted in a smoother whiskey for the warm weather, to be enjoyed on its own or in a summer cocktail,” says Jon Brown, the Quality Manager at Castle & Key.

The batch is comprised of 80 barrels and is bottled at 50.5% ABV.  It will be available at select retailers and the distillery with a recommended retail price of $39.99 per bottle.
