‘Age Is Never a Bad Thing’: Lux Row Unveils 6-Year-Old Rebel Bourbon

Rebel Bourbon

Rebel Bourbon’s latest expression is 6 years old.

On Thursday, Lux Row Distillers announced the release of a new bourbon from its brand, Rebel: Rebel 100 6-Year Bourbon.

Bottled at 100 proof, the new expression is distilled from Rebel’s traditional wheated mashbill, which dates back to 1849. Rebel 100 6-Year Bourbon will be available across the U.S.  later this month at a suggested retail price of $59.99 per 750-milliliter bottle.

“Rebel 100 6-Year demonstrates that age is never a bad thing,” Lux Row Distillers Master Distiller John Rempe said in a news release. “The combination of spotlighting our original recipe and aging it for six years resulted in a rich and rebellious, full flavor bourbon that I think will resonate with consumers. Six years is a long time to wait, but the wait was worth it.”

Luxco, the company behind Lux Row Distillers, was founded in 1958 in St. Louis. Luxco merged with MGP Ingredients in 2021.

In January, Lux Row Distillers announced Rebel would partner with Richard Childress Racing and sponsor the NASCAR champion, Kyle Busch.

Last May, the Premier Lacrosse League named Rebel the Official Bourbon of the league.
