Clydebuilt Sailmaker is a blended malt Scotch whisky produced by the Ardgowan Distillery Company, based in Inverkip, Inverclyde, Scotland. It combines six single malt whiskies sourced from Highland, Lowland and Speyside distilleries, all matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, and is bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration or added colour. The whisky was created by Master Whisky Maker Max McFarlane and carries a suggested retail price of around £52.50.

  • The palate opens with oaky tannins, with a mildly oily mouthfeel. Dried fruits, including raisins, currants, and sultanas return leading into chocolate and orange oil.

  • Fruit cake nose with some candied orange notes and a touch of honey make this a very attractive blended malt with some herbal notes on the length.
