Ben Nevis 12 Year Old Single Cask Nation #170023 is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Ben Nevis Distillery in Fort William in December 2012 and bottled in 2025 by U.S.-based independent bottler Single Cask Nation. It spent its final three years in a heavily charred #4 new oak hogshead, yielding 241 bottles. It is bottled at cask strength, 56.4% ABV, with no chill filtration or added color, and sells for roughly $110.
It’s yeasty and Brioche like in the sweetness. With this you have some more industrial and drier qualities to it like the barrel influences, obviously, and something that is reminiscent of fusil oils – it has a wonderful quality to it.
