Spirits of French Lick The Wheater is a straight bourbon whiskey produced at the Spirits of French Lick Distillery in West Baden Springs, Indiana. It is a blend of 60% French Lick's own 2-year-old wheated bourbon and 40% 7-year-old wheated bourbon sourced from Wyoming. The spirit is bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) and retails for around $50.

  • The palate is warming but unremarkable, with lots of raw grain and tobacco leaf notes, with a little butterscotch softening things up. The finish is surprisingly short, focused again on lingering cereal notes.
