Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Is Once Again Giving Away $1 Million Worth of Guacamole — With One Caveat

For the sixth year in a row, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is promising to cover $1 million worth of guacamole for tequila drinkers across the country.
The premise is simple: Each year around late April or early May, Johnson brings back his aptly-named “Guac on the Rock” program in honor of Cinco De Mayo (and, coincidentally, the wrestler-turned-actor’s birthday on May 2nd). Typically, participants have around a week in which they can reimburse $10 worth of guacamole when they purchase a Teremana Tequila cocktail at participating restaurants.
Things are shaking out a little differently this year. For the first time, the initiative has been stretched from April 1 to May 31, giving fans a full two months to place their food orders and sip their spicy margaritas. The program has also been expanded to cover appetizers of all varieties — so no worries if you’re allergic to avocado. Pico de gallo, empanadas, elote, bean dip and more will be fair game so long as you’re 21 or older and fancy yourself a tequila cocktail.
“Six years ago, Guac on the Rock started as a thank you,” Johnson said in a news release. “It was our way of recognizing the bartenders, servers and restaurant owners who poured so much into their communities.”
“In 2026, we’re extending it to the longest run we’ve ever had, because the mission is bigger than one holiday. It’s about creating more moments for people to gather around the table, raise a glass together, enjoy delicious cocktails, and support the places that bring neighborhoods to life.”
From now until May 31, customers can upload an itemized receipt featuring either a Teremana cocktail and appetizer or a Teremana bottle and margarita mixer to receive up to $10 reimbursement through guacontherock.com. The website doubles as a participating restaurant locator, so be sure to check it out if you’re interested in taking advantage of the program.
Since launching in 2020, Teremana has worked overtime to distinguish itself from the celebrity-backed competition.
Two years after its debut, the brand attracted German spirits giant Mast-Jägermeister as a key investor. In keeping with a long-standing goal to “internationalize” beyond tequila’s usual reach, Teremana is now expanding into foreign markets like the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Colombia and the United Arab Emirates, where agave spirits are still remain an up-and-coming category.
