WhistlePig’s ‘Super Troopers’ Maple Sugar Shack Hits Zillow — But There’s a Catch

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a maple syrup retreat with a whiskey-powered cold plunge, now’s your chance — or is it? The Vermont-based WhistlePig Whiskey has listed its Maple Sugar Shack on Zillow for $4.2 million, but there’s a twist: The listing is purely for laughs.

The faux listing, part of a collaboration between WhistlePig, Zillow, and the cast of the 2001 film, “Super Troopers,” isn’t actually for sale. Instead, it serves as a demonstration of Zillow Showcase, an AI-powered tool that offers immersive virtual home tours. The Sugar Shack, a rustic Vermont getaway complete with a Tiki Bar and sweeping mountain views, is featured to show off the new tech — and to continue WhistlePig’s syrup-fueled partnership with “Super Troopers.”

The Sugar Shack has played a key role in that collaboration, which began in March 2024 when the brand partnered with the film’s cast to release a limited-edition Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup. The actors, including Jay Chandrasekhar, spent time at the property “protecting and serving” Vermont’s maple syrup supply while developing WhistlePig’s signature Maple Old Fashioned cocktail.

Now, however, the shack is for sale — after the Troopers were evicted:

“We’ve spent plenty of time at the Sugar Shack, and there are definitely some stories hidden, baked and soaked into those walls. We’re not saying we left any mustache wax behind, but if you find some, you’re welcome,” Chandrasekhar said in a news release. “Don’t freak out, man, our shenanigans here were cheeky and fun while we built up the syrup supply. We only chugged as much as was strictly necessary to prove we are all that is man the old fashioned way. There’s plenty to stir up with the heavenly hooch that is WhistlePig’s PiggyBack Rye to make a Maple Old Fashioned.”

While buyers can’t actually purchase the Sugar Shack, WhistlePig is offering a free bottle of its Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup to anyone who submits a bid of $4.20 — because of course they are.

For those curious, the virtual listing is live on Zillow. Just don’t expect to move in.
