Fettercairn, a Highland scotch whisky distillery with over 200 years of history, has finally entered the U.S. market with a collection of five limited-edition single malts aged between 24 and 50 years.

The launch marks the first time the distillery’s products are available in the United States. The rare collection includes bottles priced between $650 and $37,000 and will be distributed in select markets, including California, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Texas.

Each expression with the exception of Fettercairn 28-Year-Old is non-chill filtered and bottled at natural color, a practice that preserves the whisky’s character. The available bottlings include:

  • Fettercairn 24-Year-Old ($650, 500 bottles)
  • Fettercairn 28-Year-Old ($1,250, 500 bottles)
  • Fettercairn 40-Year-Old ($6,000, 35 bottles)
  • Fettercairn 46-Year-Old ($19,000, 35 bottles)
  • Fettercairn 50-Year-Old ($37,000, 35 bottles)

Known for its “tropical house style,” Fettercairn uses a distinctive copper cooling ring in its distillation process. This method involves drenching the stills in cold mountain water, helping to condense only the lightest vapors.

“At Fettercairn we always strive to explore what is possible within single malt Scotch whisky,” Fettercairn Distillery Manager Stewart Walker said in a news release. “Our copper cooling ring is a prime example – a technique that transformed our whisky, creating a spirit that’s fresh, vibrant, and unmistakably Fettercairn.”

The U.S. release is aimed at whisky collectors and enthusiasts seeking rare and high-aged single malts.

“Fettercairn has always been for those with an open mind and who embrace curiosity,” said Anice Kim-Saunders, vice president of marketing for North America. “As whisky drinkers explore new and exciting expressions, we invite both seasoned collectors and curious imbibers to experience a Taste of Imagination – whiskies that are vibrant, refined, and unlike anything they’ve experienced before. The wait is over – your Fettercairn journey in the U.S. begins now.”

Fettercairn joins a growing list of distilleries expanding their footprint in the American market, where demand for aged and limited-edition scotch whiskies continues to grow.
