On Wednesday, Highlands scotch whisky producer Deanston Distillery announced a limited-edition whisky: Deanston 15 Year Old Tequila Cask Finish Scotch Whisky.

The new release is available now from select U.S. retailers and online from ReserveBar for a suggested retail price of $279.99.

Deanston aged this whisky for 13 years in oak hogsheads and then finished it for two years in casks that once held tequila from the Jaliscan Highlands in Mexico.

Bottled at 102 proof, this single malt “blends the essence of the Scottish and Mexican Highlands,” according to Deanston. The distillery says the maturation process gives the whisky “fruity and floral” characteristics while allowing it to retain its signature Deanston notes.
