The 2025 Tony Awards are getting a hidden layer of luxury.

Dewar’s Scotch Whisky is partnering with Baccarat to unveil a speakeasy experience available exclusively to this year’s nominees and presenters — a space designed to “honor those extraordinary talents who stir the soul through performance, storytelling, and sheer creative force,” says Brian Cox, global vice president of scotch whisky at Bacardi.

“This is the second time Dewar’s has come together with Baccarat,” Cox told us. “Our partnership began in 2023 for the launch of Dewar’s Double Double 37 Year Old — marking the debut of the ultra-premium Dewar’s Collectors Series—where the bottle was paired with Baccarat crystal Massena tumblers; after all, exquisite whisky deserves exquisite glassware.”

He continued: “Coming together this year — and with Baccarat’s history of partnering with the Tony Awards — this collaboration offered a meaningful opportunity to reunite our brands.”

The timing aligns with the launch of Dewar’s new global brand platform, “Here’s to the Story,” which Cox describes as “centered around timeless craftsmanship, compelling stories and enriching discoveries.” He adds, “The platform celebrates the nearly 180-year legacy of Dewar’s pioneering spirit. Together we saw an opportunity to champion those who bring stories to life—both on stage and in the glass.”

The goal, he says, is to “create a bar experience that’s as refined as it is meaningful.”

While it’s billed as a speakeasy, Cox says the space goes well beyond that: “This is more than a speakeasy-style bar—it’s a captivating, multisensory experience that brings together Dewar’s 179-year legacy of craftsmanship and Baccarat’s spellbinding artistry.”

The look and feel channel the golden era of Broadway. “The setting itself is a tribute to art deco grandeur, reimagined through a modern lens,” he says. “Architectural zigzags, graceful curves, and Baccarat’s signature rouge meet rich gold accents and whisky-washed tones.”

The room will be “brought to life under the warm glow of crystal chandeliers and sculptural vases—a space that’s as unforgettable as the stories being celebrated.”

And yes, the whisky will match the setting: Bespoke cocktails crafted around Dewar’s Double Double 21 Year Oloroso are on the menu, all served in Baccarat cyrstal glassware, of course.

That expression, made using Dewar’s signature four-stage aging process, offers “an extra smooth finish, delivering subtle notes of cinnamon and ripe vine fruits,” says Cox.

The Cocktails

Three exclusive drinks will be served in the speakeasy — The Golden Cue and Act One Aperitif were developed by Dewar’s in-house mixology team, while The Revival was made by New York-based master mixologist Brandon Barnes.

While the speakeasy is accessible exclusively to nominees and presenters at the Tony Awards, whisky-loving observers at home can join in spirit by making the cocktails for themselves. Here are the recipes, shared by Dewar’s:

Golden Cue

  • 1.5 oz. Dewar’s 21 Year Old Oloroso
  • 0.5 oz. Apricot Liqueur
  • 0.5 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 0.75 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice
  • 4 Dashes Fee Brother Fee Foam
  • Garnish: Edible purple flower

The Revival

  • 2 oz. Dewar’s 21 Year Old Oloroso
  • 0.75 oz. Red Wine Vanilla Syrup
  • 0.75 oz. PX Sherry
  • 2 Dashes Bitterman’s Xocolatl Mole Bitters
  • Garnish: Black cherry with silver leaf

Act One Aperitif

  • 1.5 oz. Dewar’s 21 Year Old Oloroso
  • 0.5 oz. Oloroso Sherry
  • 0.75 oz. Tempus Fugit Crème De Banane
  • 1 Barspoon Golden Syrup
  • 1 Spray Absinthe
  • Garnish: Orange discard

Dewar’s will also be the official scotch whisky of the official Tony Awards afterparty, which will be held at the Museum of Modern Art.

Cox describes the afterparty as a place where “nominees, winners and Broadway’s creative forces can cap off the evening with a beautifully crafted Dewar’s cocktail at one of our custom bar buildouts or simply share a celebratory dram with a friend in an iconic setting.”
