High West Marks a Decade of ‘A Midwinter Night’s Dram’ With Release of Act 10

Park City, Utah distillery High West on Monday announced the release of A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 10, which will mark the 10th anniversary of the expression.

Bottled at 98.6 proof, A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 10 will launch Oct. 2. It will be available at the High West distillery as well as at retailers nationwide in limited quantities. It will retail for $125 in Utah and $150 in other states.

A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act 10 is made from High West’s Rendezvous Rye, which is finished in ruby and tawny port barrels. Rendezvous Rye is a blend of two mashbills, one comprising 95% rye and 5% barley malt from MGP and the other comprising 80% rye and 20% malted rye from High West distillate.

Nose: Ripe marionberries, smashed plums, blood orange peel, Saigon cinnamon, heavily toasted Oloroso Sherry cask, leather-bound books

Taste: Blackcurrant jam, tart cherry crumble on a cedar plank, rose and pistachio pavlova, dark rye bread, candied ginger, Stilton blue cheese, smoked apple wood
