High West Whiskey announced in conjunction with Casa Noble Tequila that both brands were partnering up to release a limited-edition rey whiskey called The Noble Share, priced at $174.99. The rye whiskey is finished in Marques de Casa Noble Añejo barrels, and a small portion was finished in Amburana barrels.

“High West is honored to blend its rich whiskey traditions with Casa Noble’s storied heritage,” High West’s Director of Sensory & New Product Development Tara Lindley said in a news release. “While the Casa Noble Marques Añejo barrels are at the heart of this expression, a portion of the blend has also been finished in Amburana barrels — adding layers of complexity and introducing a delicate hint of cinnamon that beautifully complements the bold, spice-forward character of High West rye. Together, these barrels create a richly textured, harmonious expression that celebrates the artistry of blending.”

The Noble Share has an ABV of 52% and is a blend of rye whiskeys. The blend includes rye whiskeys 4 to 10 years of age from MGP, which has a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and High West’s distillate, made from a mashbill of 80% rye and 20% malted rye.

The brands describe the release as a rye for whiskey and tequila fans alike. Casa Noble founder Pepe Hermosillo weighed in on the final product.

“This collaboration between Casa Noble and High West is a true celebration of craftsmanship and tradition, where the bold, botanical spice of High West rye meets the refined elegance of Casa Noble’s Marques Añejo French Oak barrels. Together, we’ve created something exceptional that bridges the worlds of whiskey and tequila.”

High West unveiled a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey this year that was a long time in the making. The expression was cherished by members of the production team, like Isaac Winter.

“It’s something that’s sort of like a feather in all [our] caps,” Winter said when referring to the whiskey’s release. “It’s been awesome to release a Bottled-In-Bond and see that be so well received by the public.”
