Jameson announced on Tuesday the release of Jameson Triple Triple Chestnut Edition. The brand shared that the launch will be staggered around the world and hit shelves in the U.S. and U.K. in early 2025. The triple-distilled whiskey was blended in a mixture of ex-Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, with hand-chosen sweet chestnut casks. The whiskey hosts a suggested retail price of $29 and an ABV of 40%.
“At Jameson, we’ve known that good things come in threes ever since John Jameson introduced the world to triple-distilled Jameson Irish Whiskey,” Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman said in a news release. “Jameson Triple Triple Chestnut Edition is no exception to this rule. Our single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys have been further enhanced through a combination of triple cask maturation to create an exciting new taste experience. Sweet Chestnut wood imparts rich notes of chocolate and fudge, adding a luxurious layer to Jameson whiskey’s much-loved character, making it an excellent new addition to the family.”
The whiskey was made at Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland. Jameson says the addition of chestnut casks imbues the whiskey with toffee, toasted almonds and a rich cacao quality. This latest release marks the second whiskey within the brand’s Triple Triple series. The brand initially launched as a travel retail exclusive, and the inaugural expression was aged in a mixture of ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Málaga wine casks.
In September, Jameson added to its “Touchdown in Dublin” campaign, an attempt to bring football to the Irish capital. The whiskey brand held a rally in New York City with Julian Edelman, the wide receiver for the Patriots.
The Irish whiskey brand launched a Jameson Touchdown in Dublin Bus, which is set to make stops across the country at tailgates to add a little fun during gameday.
