On Tuesday, the Belfast Telegraph reported that the Northern Irish actor and producer, James Nesbitt, unveiled a new whiskey release from Hinch Distillery.

Hinch Distillery 15-Year-Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish Irish Whiskey is a blend of malt whiskey distilled in 2003, aged in ex-bourbon casks and finished for a year in first-fill oloroso sherry casks; and grain whiskey distilled in 2008, aged in ex-bourbon casks and finished for two years in oloroso sherry casks.

Bottled at 92 proof, the whiskey is available online via the Hinch Distillery website for £65 ($82) per 700-milliliter bottle.

After announcing his partnership with Hinch in January, Nesbitt (“The Hobbit,” “The Secret”) was on hand at an exclusive event Friday to reveal the whiskey.

“It is not solely down to tasting and drinking quite a lot of it. That is probably part of it, but the people there are so dedicated to their craft and the continual investment that they channel into Hinch just shows they are making a really special and unique history,” Nesbitt said when asked why he partnered with Hinch Distillery, according to the Belfast Telegraph. “At this stage of my career, coolness and sophisticated are not two bad things to be associated with. It was important to get in at the beginning; it means I can witness the distillery embark on this journey. I am incredibly excited by it.

“Each dram is full of character. It’s bottled proof of the artistry of the master distillers.”
