Fireball Cinnamon Whisky Teams up With ‘Parks and Recreation’ Star to Unveil Its First Flavor Extension, Blazin’ Apple

The undisputed king of irreverent, regret-inducing flavored whisky shenanigans has expanded its flavor catalog for the first time.
On Wednesday, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky unveiled Blazin’ Apple, a new offering that’s said to combine the brand’s signature cinnamon spice with a crisp apple finish. The first comparison that comes to mind is Apple Jacks cereal, though that’s not an influence that warrants a mention anywhere in the product description.
Instead, the brand is paying homage to everything and everyone apple-famous, from Snow White to William Tell to Sir Isaac Newton. Recruiting help from comedian Ben Schwartz, best known for his roles in “Parks and Recreation” and the “Sonic” franchise, Fireball has put together a marketing campaign complete with plenty of silly costumes and enough Granny Smith apples to bake a dozen pies.
“The wheel. The computer. And now Fireball Blazin’ Apple. When you get a call about teaming up with an invention that will most definitely change the world forever, you pick up that phone (another invention that should have been on my list if I didn’t follow the rule of threes),” Schwartz remarked in a news release. “It is a joy when you get to team up with a merry band of misfits who all want to have fun and make people laugh in their messaging. We had a blast with this campaign.”
Fireball Blazin’ Apple is bottled at 33% ABV and began rolling out at liquor stores nationwide Wednesday. The flavor will be available in both 50-milliliter and 750-milliliter varieties, though the company has yet to reveal a suggested retail price for either.

Few brands can rival the unabashed absurdity of Fireball releases. The Canadian whisky maker has released the champagne-inspired Fireball Dragnum, which is quite literally just Fireball inside a fancy bottle, as well as “Crierball,” an offering distilled from the tears of fans at football games in Georgia, Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Ohio. There’s even a barrel-aged Fireball Dragon Reserve, which, despite its kooky premise, we found to be delicious in a guilty pleasure sort of way.
