Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey announced Tuesday that the cinnamon whisky brand was unveiling a scarlet red garter, just in time for wedding season. The garter holds one 50-milliliter Fireball shooter and is guaranteed to bring a little cinnamon spice to weddings.
The cinnamon whisky brand claimed the “time-honored tradition” of the garter toss had “grown stale,” and wanted to revitalize it: Fireball style.
“Our fans have been making Fireball a part of their celebrations for years, from adult Fireball flower girls and guys, to wedding favors and more,” Fireball Cinnamon Whisky Global Brand Director Danny Suich said in a news release. “Weddings light up when Fireball’s involved, so we thought it was high time we ignited a part of the party that was begging for something a little extra: the garter toss. We’re excited to see brides and grooms surprise their partners with something fun and unexpected that’s sure to be remembered for years to come.”
The fiery red garter will be available for purchase here at 10 a.m. EST Friday. The red lacy garters come in two sizes: small-to-medium and large-to-extra-large. The brand shared that if you finish your fireball shooter — no problem, you can always add another, because “after all, weddings can be long AF.”
Fireball shared that these lacy red garters can be “whipped out by [guests] in the back of the reception hall when the toasts run too long” and “used in the bridal suite when you need a second away from socializing with family members you haven’t seen for years.”
The cinnamon whisky brand additionally claimed that though the garter toss traditionally involves the bride, these garters are for everyone in attendance at any wedding. Fireball recommended them for mother-of-the-brides, groomsmen and even third cousins in attendance. A maximum amount of 10 garters can be purchased at a single time.
Suich wasn’t kidding when he mentioned that Fireball has often made appearances in weddings.
In September, an influencer named Jac Vanek chose to buck tradition and go with Fireball Girls instead of the traditional flower girls. The moment went viral as Fireball girls danced down the aisle to the song “Fireball” by Pitbull and passed out bottles of the cinnamon-flavored whisky, bring the heat and a little bit of irreverent fun to the day she tied the knot.
