On Monday, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky unveiled new packaging to spice things up at soirees everywhere — the Fireball Dragnum. The company announced in a news release that it would offer fans of the popular cinnamon-flavored whisky the opportunity to purchase it in magnum form to keep the party going all night long.
“We know Fireball turns any boring experience into a memorable one and we had a hypothesis that, if given the choice, fans would reach for a magnum of Fireball – a Dragnum, if you will – over a magnum of the same old same old to ignite holiday festivities,” Fireball Global Brand Director — or “Mr. Fireball” to his friends — Danny Suich said in a news release. “But we also wanted to up the fancy factor a bit to help make the season extra special. Because an epic celebration deserves something spicier than usual.”
Dragnum is sold in wine-inspired bottles. The brand describes the packaging as a “champagne-inspired masterpiece.”
Each Dragnum includes a spiffed-up Fireball logo, cork-inspired topper, wire cage and crinkled foil wrap. The packaging could easily pass for a bottle of bubbly, according to the brand, yet the liquid inside is the same old spicy, cinnamon-flavored whisky that fans of the brand know and love. Just be sure to have some Advil ready nearby for the inevitable hangover after an evening of classy, Fireball-related fun.
Fireball tapped Jake, a 25-year-old Fireball enthusiast from Ohio, to give his thoughts on Dragnum.
“It’s always a huge bummer when I go to a party and the only thing on the menu is wine or champagne. That’s not my style, but I can’t argue that walking into a room holding a bottle of bubbly feels classy and grown up as heck,” said Jake, a 25-year-old man from Ohio. “Fireball Dragnum is the perfect solution for me — it looks fancy enough to impress anyone in the room, and, more importantly, it tastes like Sweet Cinnamon Delight.”
Each Fireball Dragnum holds 1.75 liters of Fireball and is priced at $24.99. Bottles of these bubbly-inspired beauties will roll out at stores across the U.S. starting mid-August.
The cinnamon-flavored whiskey brand has been shaking things up in a big way of late. In June, the brand launched its first barrel-aged flavored whisky: Fireball Dragon Reserve, which we reviewed here.
