Floyd Mayweather Jr., the undefeated American boxing champion, announced the launch of two alcohol brands: Good Money Canadian Whisky and Le Bon Argent Champagne. Mayweather announced the brands at a Las Vegas event. Both brands will be distributed by Southern Glazer Wine and Spirits.

“I want the whole world to feel good, look good, and drink good,” Mayweather said during the launch that took place at Southern Glazer’s offices. “Y’all know the rest!”

The distribution company intends to launch Mayweather’s spirits and wine lines in Nevada, California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Colorado, Tennessee, New York, Arizona, Kentucky and Georgia. However, a rep from the company remained confident the brand would expand its reach quite quickly due to Southern Glazer’s aggressive sales strategy.

“But this is only round one. We’ll be in all 44 Glazer’s states by the end of 2024,” the distributor said in a news release.

Good Money Whisky launches with two Canadian whiskies: 5-year and 10-year expressions.

The brand describes the 5-year-old whisky as possessing spiced and tropical fruit aromas, with caramelized orchard fruit. The brand describes it as a daily drinker due to its “refined smoothness.”

Good Money’s 10-year-old whisky was crafted with what the brand refers to as the “highest quality rye” and was aged for ten years in American Oak casks. Good Money describes it has having aromas of butterscotch, spice and vanilla with a citrus-laden finish.

Mayweather’s Le Bon Argent Champagne line hosts a Rosé and a Brut champagne. The fruit is sourced from Epernay, France, according to the brand.

In 2017, Floyd Mayweather Jr. fought Conor McGregor in what was referred to as “The Biggest Fight in Combat Sports History.” The fight took place in Nevada, and Mayweather reportedly earned $280 million. After winning the match, Mayweather announced that he would officially retire from boxing.

Now, with the launch of Good Money, Mayweather takes on McGregor in a new realm: the world of whisky. McGregor is the frontman behind the popular Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey brand, which made around $1 billion in revenue during its first year, according to The Sun.

Mayweather’s reasoning for entering the booze business was fairly straightforward.

“Every adult wants to have something great to drink. And guess what? Together with my team, we developed and sourced the best exclusive products we could find to be offered to the public. And here they are!”
