On Monday, Wyoming Whiskey announced it will be taking drinkers on another trip to its home state by way of its latest National Park bottlings.

The first of the duo, dubbed Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, is a straight bourbon pulled from over 70 barrels before aging a minimum of five years. Paying homage to arguably the second-most iconic landmark in Yellowstone (more on that later), the bourbon is bottled at 49% ABV and is said to boast flavors of crème caramel, Mexican vanilla and candied ginger.

Previous numbered releases in the National Park series have honored Yellowstone and Wyoming’s Grand Teton, with a one-off “1872” bottling named in honor of the year that President Ulysses S. Grant signed the Yellowstone National Park Protection Act into law. In a sense, the collaborations are an encapsulation of history; Wyoming Whiskey is the state’s oldest legal distillery, and Yellowstone is the nation’s first national park.

“National Parks No. 4 has been crafted from barrels specifically selected to continue the distinctive flavor profile of our National Parks Series, celebrating the adventurous spirit of these treasured wide-open spaces,” co-founder David DeFazio remarked in a news release.

On the more exclusive side of the spectrum, the distiller has also introduced an Old Faithful Straight Bourbon, synonymous with the most recognizable sight in Yellowstone and perhaps one of the most iconic natural vistas in all of America.

The whiskey is a blend of three “specially selected” barrels aged for a total of ten years. It’s bottled at 54% ABV and is said to boast hefty notes of baking spice, orange peel, toffee and Black Forest cake. On the label, you’ll find an image of the Old Faithful geyser taken by photographer F. Jay Haynes, legendary in the late 19th century for his documentation of the American Northwest.

“Old Faithful is a truly special whiskey, made from a select few of our 10-year-old wheated bourbon barrels, making it the oldest wheated bourbon from our warehouses. I’m excited to share these new releases with our loyal Wyoming Whiskey fans and supporters of Yellowstone National Park,” DeFazio said.

Allocation and price vary between the duo of Yellowstone offerings. National Park No. 4 is now available in 27 states nationwide at $79.99, while the Old Faithful Bourbon has been limited to just 500 bottles available at $499 each in Wyoming, California and Colorado.
