Woodford Reserve announced on Tuesday the release of a bourbon Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall made with her dad, Tim O’Neill, to celebrate Father’s Day, which is just around the corner, coming up Sunday.

“I brought my Dad to the distillery and put him to work, and it was such a special experience,” McCall said in a statement. “We had a wonderful time creating seven one-of-a-kind bourbons that others can share with their fathers.”

The 1-liter bottle hosts a suggested retail price of $79.99 and can be purchased at the distillery campus or online.

Woodford claims the bourbon was “created by two generations of bourbon lovers to honor the passion and spirit of fathers everywhere.”

“I’ve always been a bourbon drinker,” O’Neill said. “I was very excited when my daughter asked me to join her.”

The father-daughter duo batched seven two-barrel blends to match their desired flavor profile. McCall shared that her mother worked in the spirits business, and her dad got her into whiskey.

McCall was hired as Woodford’s master distiller in February 2023 after Chris Morris was named master distiller emeritus. She was hired to supervise quality control and spearhead rare bourbon releases within the brand’s Master’s Collection and Distillery Series. She worked with Brown-Forman since 2009 and was eventually bumped up to assistant master distiller.

“I am humbled to stand upon the foundation built by Chris Morris, who is one of the most well-known and respected Master Distillers in the world,” McCall said upon receiving her new title. “I look forward to following in his footsteps and crafting the world’s finest bourbon.”
