On Wednesday, Woodford Reserve announced the release of Woodford Reserve Batch Proof 121.2. The expression hosts a suggested retail price of $149.99 and is now available in limited quantities in select markets within the U.S. and at Woodford’s distillery.

According to the brand, over 100 different Woodford Reserve barrels were batched together for the expression. The barrels all had varying production dates and were matured on different floors of various warehouses.

“Barrels drawn from the upper floors of our heat-cycled warehouses tend to possess higher proof presentations including this limited-edition batch,” Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall said in a news release. “Batch Proof allows consumers to taste Woodford Reserve exactly as it comes out of the barrels.”

2024’s Batch Proof bourbon is bottled at 121.2 proof — higher as always than Woodford Reserve’s standard 90.4 proof.

Woodford’s latest release follows a Jan. 23 relaunch of the brand’s popular Double Double Oaked expression, which McCall refers to as one of Woodford’s “most treasured” and “exclusive” releases.

Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked was made by finishing the brand’s Double Oaked Bourbon for an additional year in a lightly charred new oak barrel with a heavy toast. The whiskey hosts a proof of 90.4 and has a suggested retail price of $79.99 per 375-milliliter bottle.
