New York-based whiskey brand Widow Jane announced it is bringing back two limited-release bourbons: Decadence and Lucky Thirteen. Both bourbons will be hitting retail shelves in the fall, the brand announced Tuesday.
Decadence is a small-batch bourbon finished in Widow Jane’s American Oak barrels that previously contained Crown Maple syrup. The bourbon launched in 2020 and has sold out within days of its launch ever since, according to the brand. Clocking in at 91 proof, the whiskey hosts a suggested retail price of $100.
Lucky Thirteen hosts a distinctive 13-year age statement and a suggested retail price of $125. The sourced whiskey was selected by Widow Jane and proofed with limestone-filtered water from mines in upstate New York. The bourbon clocks in at 93 proof and was made in small batches, according to the brand.
In early October, Widow Jane released The Vaults, the first whiskey from the company made under the stewardship of Sienna Jevremov, head distiller. Jevremov was brought on as head distiller and blender in October 2022. The Vaults 2023 is a blend of Tennessee and Indiana whiskeys, aged for a minimum of 15 years. The whiskeys were blended and finished in Chinquapin Oak, a finish that is gaining some traction amongst whiskey brands.
