Gentleman’s Cut, the bourbon brand owned by Stephen Curry, unveiled a 15-year-old bourbon on Friday that marks the Golden State Warriors star point guard’s 15-year career in the NBA. The bourbon is called Player Exclusive and hosts a suggested retail price of $4,500 before CA sales tax and shipping.

The brand shared that orders will be processed and shipped out in June.

Just 230 decanters were produced, and each one is etched, numbered and signed by the point guard himself. Only 100 will be released to bourbon and Curry fans. Each decanter is housed in a wooden box. The brand shared that the stopper of the decanter boasts the initials “T.C.C.” as an homage to Curry’s motto, “Trust, Commitment, Care.”

The whiskey was distilled from a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley in 2005. It was aged until 2020 in new oak barrels. According to Gentlemen’s Cut, the whiskey has tasting notes of “creme brulee, butterscotch, orange peel, spice, hazelnut, cherry and balanced oak.”

Curry’s brand shared that the inaugural bottle sold at the Golden State Warriors Foundation event for $350,000. A tasting experience of the bourbon will be held for Platinum Guests at Bottle Rock in Napa Valley on May 25.

The TTB finalized labels for Gentleman’s Cut’s first bourbon in March 2023. The bottling launched internationally that May, and it was released at Boone County Distilling Co. in Florence, Kentucky. Boone County Distilling Co. produces the whiskey under the name Game Changer Distillery, which is a collaboration between Curry’s company, SC30, and Amuse Bouche Winery owner John Schwartz.

Gentleman’s Cut received mixed reviews upon its release. A group of former NBA players tasted the bourbon on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast, “Gil’s Arena,” in July.

“Damn, Steph,” Arenas said while tasting it. “I see why he can shoot from the moon.”
