One of the world’s most coveted and elusive bourbons just unveiled a pair of jackets designed for fireside sipping.

On Thursday, Pappy & Company — the merchandise line for Buffalo Trace’s rare Pappy Van Winkle bourbon — announce a collaboration with luxury outerwear brand Tom Beckbe for a set of waxed hunting jackets. Apart from the “Stave Brown” colorway (blackened on the outside and bourbon-gold within), there isn’t much that screams “whiskey” at first glance. Stitched at the inline, however, you’ll find a Pappy patch numbered and signed by third-generation distiller, Julian Van Winkle III.

The release is now available in Piedmont and Women’s Blakely varieties, limited to just 200 jackets each. Their price? $550 — less than most bottles of Pappy Van Winkle on the secondary market, we’ll give them that.

“We are thrilled to partner once again with Tom Beckbe to release these beautiful jackets, representing the tradition both our companies hold dear,” Carrie Van Winkle Greener, co-founder of Pappy & Company, said in a news release. ” These jackets go beyond clothing—they tell a story of heritage, dedication, and the appreciation of fine craftsmanship that connects our two brands.”

Although Pappy is produced at the historied Buffalo Trace Distillery, many spirits fans may be surprised to hear that the brand didn’t hit shelves until 1994. Three decades later, Pappy’s wheated bourbon recipe has established itself as one of the defining “unicorn” bottles on the market alongside the likes of Blanton’s and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection bottlings.

Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year regularly costs over $1,000 at resale. Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year Old? As much as $40,000.

Sensing a lucrative opportunity from its more budget-minded fans, Pappy & Co. has rolled out a suite of branded merchandise available in just about every variety. Browsing its website, you’ll find Pappy maple syrup, hot sauce, barrel heads, smoked cocktail kits, cigars and even pickleball paddles.

The brand teamed up with Alabama-based Tom Beckbe for its latest drop. Specializing in outerwear, hats and bags designed “for the hunt,” Beckbe supports organizations including Delta Waterfowl, Pheasants Forever and the Freshwater Land Trust. One of its partners, Ducks Unlimited, recently unveiled its own spirits collaboration in junction with the World Whiskey Society.

“These limited-edition jackets reflect our shared values of quality, authenticity, and attention to detail,” said Radcliff Menge, founder of Tom Beckbe. “We’re honored to bring together Tom Beckbe’s outdoor heritage with the legacy of Pappy Van Winkle through these distinctive pieces.”
