On Monday, Heaven Hill unveiled its Old Fitzgerald Bottled-In-Bond Fall 2023 bourbon. The 8-year-old whiskey was chosen from barrels of bourbon made in the Fall of 2015 and marks the 12th consecutive national release.
In accordance with bottled-in-bond regulations, a tax strip on the bottle shares information about when the bourbon was made and bottled. The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-In-Bond Fall edition meets all other requirements according to the brand, and was made from a single distillery during a distilling season, bottled at 100 proof, and exceeds the four-year aging minimum.
“As a leader of the bottled-in-bond category, Heaven Hill is proud to offer a premium product within this special class which showcases the authenticity and quality of the American Whiskey portfolio,” said Heaven Hill’s Master Distiller, Conor O’Driscoll, in a statement from the brand. “The Fall 2023 8-year-old Old Fitzgerald Bottled-In-Bond has the best qualities of a classic Kentucky Bourbon with a unique sweetness and spice this beloved brand is known for.”
The bourbon is housed in the signature decanter for which the Old Fitzgerald Line is known, and the fall edition hosts a black label in accordance with tradition. It is available for purchase at a suggested retail price of $109.99 for a 750-ml bottle.
Old Fitzgerald typically releases its expressions both in the Spring and Fall. Old Fitzgerald’s Spring 2023 10 Year Old Bottled-In-Bond Bourbon received a 7 at Raiders and made the 8 Best Whiskeys We Tasted in August 2023.
