‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Star Matthew Lillard Just Dropped His 2nd Dungeons & Dragons Themed Bourbon

Quest's End

Quest’s End, the spirits brand helmed by the actor, Matthew Lillard, released its second bourbon, “Rogue,” in a Dungeons & Dragons-themed release.

Geek Dad reported on Tuesday that actor Matthew Lillard (“Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “Scream”) and Find Familiar Spirits unveiled the second installment within the company’s Dungeons & Dragons-themed whiskey brand, Quest’s End. The second expression, Rogue, will be available for purchase starting Feb. 29 for the price of $149.99 at the brand’s website.

Rogue is a blend of small-batch bourbons from Kentucky and Indiana aged at least four years and bottled at 49.15% ABV. According to Quest’s End, Rogue has aromas of vanilla, coupled with baked apple and jammy fruit on the palate, according to the spirits company. The brand claims it finishes with “cooling herbaceous notes,” lending the spirit plenty of balance.

Lillard’s debut whiskey was highly successful, “slaying sales,” according to Forbes. The outlet reported in November that when the brand’s inaugural Paladin expression went live on Oct. 6, 5,000 bottles of the whiskey priced at $149.99 sold out within 14 days.

For D&D and whiskey fans who don’t want to risk missing out on scoring a bottle of Rogue, pre-sale is available now for anyone who subscribes to the Quest’s End newsletter.

Everybody who orders a bottle of Rogue will be also receive the latest chapter in the accompanying fantasy chronicle, “Dawn of the Unbound Gods,” written by Kate Welch. The epic features illustrations by Tyler Jacobson.

Enthusiasts of the Quest’s End brand can also sign up here to join the High Rollers Guild, by purchasing the Rogue HRG Stealth Pack, which is priced at $649.99. HRG members will receive not only Rogue, but also the debut bourbon from the brand, Paladin, which is otherwise sold out. The members will also receive the next two bottles in the collection, Warlock and Dragon, upon their releases. The brand says it expects the Rogue HRG Stealth pack to sell out fast.

Additionally, High Rollers will be receive…

  • a virtual tasting session with Lillard, master blender Ale Ochoa and the rest of the Find Familiar Team;
  • a signed collectible lithograph of the cover art of chapter 1 of “Dawn of the Unbound Gods”;
  • a 10% discount on Quest’s End merchandise.

Lillard’s new venture made headlines in August. The actor and avid DnD-er teamed up with his friend and screenwriter, Justin Ware, to launch Quest’s End. Together, the duo sought out the talents of Blue Run Spirits for launching the whiskey brand.

Each bottle features distinctive packaging, complete with a map illustrated by Jacobson.

“You’re getting a story; an entire unboxing experience,” Lillard said.
