On Monday, Maker’s Mark announced a campaign in honor of Women’s History Month that will allow fans of the brand to purchase limited-edition bottles sporting customizable labels designed by the artist, Gayle Kabaker. Proceeds from the purchases will go to Vital Voices, a nonprofit supporting female leadership.

Women’s History Month takes place in March, and the brand is offering whiskey aficionados the opportunity to purchase a bottle with a customizable label to so they can dedicate their bottle to the special women in their lives. The label celebrating “spirited women” can be created here.

“As a brand co-founded by my grandmother Margie Samuels more than 70 years ago, Maker’s Mark continues to be guided and grown by incredible women defining what’s next in the industry,” Maker’s Mark’s Managing Director and Whisky Maker Rob Samuels said in a statement. “We are privileged to continue our commitment to women making an impact in their communities and support the meaningful causes that drive Vital Voices.”

Samuels is an eighth-generation whisky maker, and his grandmother, Margie Samuels, was among the first women to be inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame, according to the brand. Maker’s Mark claims the brand’s iconic bottle shape, labeling and red wax topper are all a result of Margie’s contributions.

The customized labels for Maker’s Mark’s latest release were designed by the artist Gayle Kabaker, who has illustrated covers for the New Yorker, according to her website. Her art has been exhibited at The Kennedy Center and she received a BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Vital Voices Global Partnership invests in women leaders “solving the world’s greatest challenges.” The nonprofit invests in leaders and partners with female leaders through mentorship programs, networking, and emergency support to female leaders in times of crisis.
