Heaven Hill Unveils Spring 2025 Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Bourbon

Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Spring 2025

On Wednesday, Heaven Hill Distillery announced the Spring 2025 edition of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Series, a 9-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The limited release will begin arriving at select retailers in the coming weeks.

The bourbon was distilled in spring 2016 and bottled in spring 2025. It meets Bottled-in-Bond standards, meaning it was distilled at a single distillery during a single distillation season, aged at least four years and is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). The suggested retail price is $129.99 per 750-milliliter bottle.

This marks the 15th release in the decanter series. As with past spring releases, the ornate decanter is branded with a green label. Each bottle also includes a tax strip disclosing distillation and bottling dates.

According to the distillery, the bourbon has a bright copper color and a nose of apple pie crust. Other tasting notes include vanilla, butterscotch, toasted cereal and apple pie spices, with a creamy finish of baked apples, oak and cinnamon.

“With each release of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Series, we aim to honor both the tradition and craftsmanship that define this storied label,” Heaven Hill Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll said in a news release. “This 9-year-old Spring 2025 edition showcases the richness of time. It’s a proud reflection of the bottled-in-bond legacy and Heaven Hill’s enduring commitment to excellence in American whiskey.”

It’s been a big couple of days of news for Heaven Hill. On Tuesday, the distillery unveiled the 2025 release of its Grain to Glass Bourbon and also announced Family Farms First, an initiative to support American family farms.

Heaven Hill acquired the Old Fitzgerald brand in 1999 and continues to produce the decanter series in limited quantities. The packaging pays tribute to a 1950s-era Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter and includes the key graphic that has been part of the brand’s label since the 1940s.

Heaven Hill, a family-owned Kentucky distillery founded in 1935, operates over 70 warehouses with more than 2 million barrels aging. It is the producer of several major whiskey brands, including Elijah Craig, Larceny and Evan Williams.
